In Memoriam: John Flemming

John Flemming
Sadly, our brother John has died at age 68. Son of George and Emma Flemming of Beaconsfield, now deceased. Brother of Peter Flemming (Norma) of Guelph and Penny Patten (Richard) of Ottawa. Uncle to Timothy and Chantelle. Many Mitton and Flemming cousins in New Brunswick, across Canada and U.S.
John excelled in school and sports. He played football (fullback and middle linebacker) and hockey with passion and enjoyed many friends while attending Beaconsfield High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at University of New Brunswick and graduated in 1972.
John had the support of wonderful caregivers from West Island Health and Social Services, as he suffered from mental illness. In the past two years he was in long term care at Centre Denis-Benjamin Viger. Thankyou to the staff on the 2nd floor who became John’s caring family.
John will be buried in June at the McLaren Cemetery in Wakefield, Quebec. Donations in John’s memory: Denis-Benjamin Viger FOUNDATION – specify the 2nd floor. 3292 Cherrier Blvd., L’Ile Bizard, PQ H9C 1E4.
