In Memoriam: Dale Bairstow

Passed away at his home in Calgary Alberta on Oct 1/2020 at the age of 73.  He died of cardiac failure, and also struggled with Kidney Disease, multiple cancers, and chronic pneumonia in his recent medical history, in addition to early childhood polio in his first few years. He attended BHS from 1961-1964, then Lindsay Place High School for Grade 12 1964-65. His post-secondary education took him to St. Lawrence University in NY State, Sir George Williams (now Concordia), McGill University, then Rutgers in New Jersey. Dale was a nomad. He lived in various parts of Canada and the USA from 1965 till his passing on October 1 and had a long and varied working career as well. He is survived by his brother Tony Bairstow (BHS Class of 1974) and his 2 sons Nick Boldt and Robert Boldt. One of the pics attached to this commentary is his BHS Home Room Class 1963-64. He’s in the middle row, second from the right.
