The BHS Alumni Association met recently with its 2021 Convocation Awards Fund bursary recipients. With the help of over 100 graduates and AABHS members $150 bursaries were presented to Amanda Böck (Aileen Proudfoot Award), Amber Gargul (Wendell Roberts Award) and Ryan Plouffe (Robert Needham Award). As well, thanks to 1962 grad Denise Beachell, unique BHS honours bracelets were presented to each of these three recipients, designed and created in Denise’s Edmonton studio.
In a generous and endearing spirit, 1975 grad Chuck Beattie and his company, Beattie Geospatial Intelligence Consulting Ltd. (BGIC), donated bursaries totalling $1,000 to the 2021 recipients of the Governor General’s academic medal, Melanie Pomerleau, and the Bruce Walker Cup, Lauren Salo.
