Since retirement in 1996,
Wayne crewed on a 49 foot sailboat across the South China sea
between Hong Kong & the Philippines, was an extra with a number
of BHS Grads in the 1997 Nicholas Cage movie �Snake Eyes� in the
newly-closed Montreal Forum. In 2006, he drove the support
vehicle for 2 retired John Rennie teachers, Brian Potter and Tom
Ropeleski who cycled across Canada raising funds for the Missing
Children�s Network/Child Fund.

Wayne has served on the Board of Directors of CLSC Lac St.
Louis, the West Island Community Resource Centre, and the
Canadian and Quebec Counselling Associations. He is currently in
his 3rd year as President of the Quebec Counselling Association.

Wayne is a volunteer and member of the Local Advisory Council of
the West Island Y.M.C.A. He coordinates a retired teachers�
cycling group from Spring to Fall and plays hockey 3 times a
week in the Winter.

This is the 4th BHS All-Years reunion that Wayne has worked on,
he co-chaired the 40th in 1998 and (somewhat by default) is
co-chairing this one with Birket Foster (�71).

He is a founding director of the Alumni Association of BHS.

A 40 year
resident of Pointe Claire, Wayne Clifford taught and served in
an administrative capacity in 4 Lakeshore elementary schools
prior to teaching and becoming a Department Head for Cycle One
in 1971, then Guidance and Student Services at Beaconsfield High
School. His last 20 years there were as a counsellor, where he
established peer counselling and peer-led sex education
programs. He was also involved for 17 years as Commanding
Officer of Lakeshore Air Cadet Squadron.
